And here... we... go. Again.

This marks the fourth time that I have started work on Rustbot. Having started over from scratch today (again), I feel yet closer to something tangible. I've got a managed screen system in place (intro, load, menu, game, inventory, etc) that handles screen-specific input, rendering and other tasks. I wish I'd thought of this earlier.

I think next I'm going to work on procedural world generation so that, when I click "New Game", something actually happens. From there I will enable saving and loading. Following that, I will continue with where I left off from before the overhaul.

I guess sometimes all you need to get cracking is to have your car towed so you can't get to work... and therefore have an extra 8 hours of free time.
